About the Festival

The idea of combining arts with the Cumberland Farmers Market resulted in the creation of the first Cumberland Arts Festival in 2009. The festival is a collaborative project of Cumberland Arts, Inc. and the Town of Cumberland. The event tripled in size and attendance in the first three years, proving that the Cumberland community was ready to have an annual celebration to claim as its own. The third Saturday in August has become the designated date each year to hold the event. Saturn Street, which connects the Cumberland Town Hall to Cumberland First Baptist Church, is normally a quiet side street, but on festival day it springs to life with white tents, the sounds of musicians and entertainers, the aroma of great food, the beautiful displays of artists and the colorful displays of fruits and vegetables.

The festival blends 'market and art' and 'county meets city' into the perfect event for the Historic Town of Cumberland. We look forward to seeing you!
